Your Ceremony

Civil ceremonies (so long as they fulfil the requirements of the law) can be as different/flexible as you want. It is my job as your celebrant to work with you in creating a ceremony for your wedding that reflects you as a couple, your goals and your wishes for your future together.

We will work together to create a ceremony that you are 100% happy with, and I will ensure that your own personal values are recognised in your wedding ceremony. I also offer completely gender-neutral/feminist based ceremonies for those couples who believe in recognising gender equality in their relationship. We can discuss what this means for you at our first meeting.

I encourage couples to participate in the composition of their ceremony (if that appeals to them); please don’t feel too overwhelmed by the prospect of writing components of your ceremony, declarations of intent, vows etc. I promise to help! Of course, you are more than welcome to stay with one of the three ceremonies that I provide as well.

If you wish to include your friends and family in your ceremony, you are more than welcome. We can discuss the ways that different family members or friends can be involved at our first meeting. I will provide you with a vast array of resources to help you draw inspiration and ideas so that everyone feels included on your special day.

I choose not to book two weddings on one day. I believe that you deserve my total commitment and attention to detail on your wedding day. It should be joyful, relaxed, exciting and meaningful without concern as to whether your day will run smoothly.
